A bit about me:
I have been working in the mental health field since obtaining my bachelors degree in psychology and counseling in 2006. I served as an on-call counselor and case worker for young children and adolescents for five years before completing my MSW from Portland State University. Over the next 7 years, I worked in the non-profit sector as a therapist and supervisor of residential and outpatient treatment programs. Over the course of my career, I gained experience providing therapy to families, adolescents, adults, and couples. However, managing organizations also meant spending a lot of time away from the people I wanted to serve. In the end, I decided to open my own practice and go back to my first love: working directly with clients.
I work to reflect my values into the work I do, which means fostering clients' self-efficacy, autonomy, and collaborating with them on the course of their treatment. My top priority is to create
an environment where you will feel respected, heard, and comfortable.
I accept most major insurance plans, and am registered with Compsych, Cigna, and United EAP programs.
I offer therapy for those seeking support in substance abuse, relapse prevention, and recovery maintenance.
I utilize evidence-based practices to assist clients in managing a wide range of mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. I specialize in CBT (including DBT) and Motivational Interviewing, but frequently also utilize somatic and trauma-focused therapies, narrative therapy, and ACT.
I offer group and individual supervision services to clinicians seeking CAC/LAC credentialing, LCSW and LPC licensure.
As of 2022, I am no longer operating a full-time practice, and have stopped accepting new clients. I will post updates to my availability if they change in the future.
